Could you not process what I wrote? It does not matter what the monority in the House does or says at this point. A majority of the House will vote to impeach. I rightly pointed out that we may be within 3 or 4 votes of having a 2/3 majority in the Senate to sustain impeachment. And the hearings have only just begun.


You said “If 19 Republicans are already turning on Trump do the math.” Just pointing out that the 19 Republicans from the WSJ op-Ed aren’t turning on Trump. So I’m not sure where you’re getting your 19 from.

Democrats hold 45 Senate seats. Only 67 votes are needed to sustain impeachment. If 19 Republicans are already turning on Trump do the math. 11 Republicans voted against Trump yesterday to over turn Trump's fictional emergency declaration. I think as evidence trickles out a few more Republicans will turn. That's why there are hearings.

OP asserted that Republican lawmakers are “turning on Trump”. Perhaps some are - but this article makes it clear that quite a few are not, and explains why.

It only explains that some of the Rs are spineless and hypocritical. Nothing more. If Obama had done this.. you get the picture.
