It’s not so much partying I’m worried about — it’s partying effecting class attendance and studying (ergo grades). idk what my kid does in their dorm complex, but I can see if he leaves for class in the morning and if he’s ever in campus libraries.

Kids allow all of their friends, even pseudo friends, to see their GPS location 24/7 on find my friends and/or snap chat. They truly don’t give a shit. So why can’t parents see, too?

lol. You’re delusional. 90% of kids quit their sport because they want to party and not wake up at 6am and be gone every weekend. You’ll see.

+1 my kid and I text most days and talk a lot and I know they are doing okay but I have zero real clue how much they are partying. I think it's a good idea to stay close to get a read on them but don't try to track specifics. Since you really can't anyway.

We have two college grads. Two in college. I have never tracked them. I’m sure they partied in college. Bottom line - If you haven’t raised your kids to make good decisions, it’s too late. They are adults. It’s time to cut the umbilical cord.

Only went to a handful of parties freshman year, but I smoked a lot of pot and drank probably more than the average amount and even tried LSD.

FWIW, I have a PhD now, so I’m not a total slacker.

DS never partied didn't like it. Not a great test taker worked hard mediocore grades. DD partied hard 3.8 undergraduate. Graduate we made her pay she never partied because she was "paying" didn't want school cancelled even on snow days....
