I agree. Some of the writing and acting in season two is absolutely spectacular. Andrew Scott is a marvel and BWV is amazing. I’ve watched season two about six times so far!
That restaurant scene at the beginning of episode one and season two is so fantastic, and it’s even better once you’ve seen the entire season and then go back. AND THEN: the 1st episode of the 2nd season is the best thing ever. It's so good. And yes, like others said, the 2nd season is just perfect.
The episodes are short so it's not a huge time commitment. And I found it to be a talking piece, so I recommend it to everyone.

I will say that the end of season two is kind of sad. People don't get better but you end up feeling for them nevertheless. And you have compassion for people who keep trying and trying but don't get where they want.
