It really depends on the age of the twins. I would never consider separating my twins at K, but we have friends whose twins chose to attend different schools in 9th, no problem. The schools understand this dynamic too, and you can make your preference known.

You tell the schools that your twins are a package deal. Either both or accepted or neither. Very common.
