We agreed on property settlement and all terms and did our divorce ourselves but I allowed him to wait the year. If yours agrees I doubt the court would care to force more proof.

There is a residency requirement in South Dakota to file for divorce .
There is no length of residency requirement but one party Hass to be a resident before filing and then you can have up to 60 day waiting period but you have to stay a resident of South Dakota until the divorce is final which means someone actually asked to move to South Dakota to do
