For all we know it's for a charter and their number finally came up to the top of the list one day before school started. Happens all of the time and through count day...

Because she was hoping nobody would notice.
That plan backfired. Now plan B is to talk about how cruel it would be to move Larlo after the school year already started.
OP is a crappy parent.
PP, don't be ridiculous. This is potentially VERY understandable from a parents point of view. Both of my kids are at a PS-8th. We love the school but this year my youngest started in PS and oldest is going into 5th. It is completely reasonable to want to move the older child to a middle/high school charter (Basis, Latin) where they will have a more stable and long term experience. Timing-wise doing the best for both kids may not mean different schools.
OP, if something like this is NOT your situation and the younger kids school feels you are not invested, or would move the younger to the older kids school if offered a spot, then I totally get them pushing you out. If your older has been at the school for years and you are committed to your younger staying there, talk to admin and plead your case.

Also, is myschooldc part of DCPS? I’d think you would hear something officially from the school itself.
The school doesn’t want to be the bad guy. They’d rather MySchoolDC be the heavy. But my guess is the school is the one who blew the whistle. They are aware now that you were just using them for daycare and they want you out. And rightly so.
This is strange to me too. The school should be the one kicking the child out not myschooldc. What authority does the latter have at this point except to inform the school of the change in OP’s older child’s enrollment? It is sketchy OP but at this point I would just stop responding to them and let the school handle it.

Anonymous wrote:OP, the myschool dc website words it like the school can decide, so I would appeal to them. It seems they can make the final decision. Good luck.

The one person that keeps calling us from Myschooldc is the rudest and really doesn't care about children and their education.
