My daughter wears them around the time she expects to start her period. It’s comforting for her to know that if she gets her period while at school or out with friends, she has some form of protection against staining. Once her period starts, she wears pads or tampons, but will also wear the underwear as backup.

Eh. I use them, so I'm washing them anyway. And the interiors are black, so it's not as though you see blood.

Blood never gets on to your underwear when you have your period? Interesting. And how lucky for you. Most of us live in the real world where that happens. And don't get grossed out by bodily functions.

Yes and they are awesome. Wonderful piece of mind as they help avoid accidents, esp for girls whose periods are unpredictable at first (common). She wears them a couple days before the "expected" date and during her heavy days, FTMP.

My daughter uses them as backup. She wears Bambody underwear almost every day. I think they are comfy underwear and keep her from worrying about surprises.

There’s a very accurate size chart on their site. I’m 4’8” and 82lbs and wear 11/12.

I wish these had been around when I was a teen, even as back up.

+1 gross doesn’t equal shameful and I think the OR is confusing the two...

What size do people recommend? My dd is 5’1 and a half an 90 pounds right now
