If you are set on getting a BMW, get the warranty. As much as I loved my Beemer, I had issues with that car that I never had with my crappy Chevy Cavalier -- and that thing was a death trap!

A friend owns a highly regarded independent Porsche-Audi-BMW-M-B shop.

He has advised customers for the past 15 years or so not to own any BMW not under warranty.

I’d look elsewhere other than BMW.

I agree with you to a certain extent as we have both Toyotas and Lexus vehicles. Have you every driven a Camry and the equivalent ES350? Believe me, if you can afford to spend the extra $12K on the ES350 over a Camry, you will not regret it. EVERYTHING is upgraded and the quality, workmanship is superior. Don't assume people are stupid with their decisions....


But lets assume people are "stupid" with their decisions when they buy a German car. Hypocrites!

No doubt. They are a dime a dozen and nothing really sticks out about them!


BMW is a dime a dozen. I find they are mostly driven by boring and pudgy middle-aged people who think it makes them look younger.
