Watched a lot of the u12 girls top bracket at OBGC. The lack of technical skill was surprising- lots of big girls, lots of fast girls, not many technical girls. The teams who had the greater number of technical girls seems to get results. So if a team had two fairly technical girls vs a team with one, the team with two would win.

Seems like a lot of future fullbacks and center backs playing offense midfield and striker. Can see why teams do not play through the midfield.

Will be interesting to see what happens next year.

Yes. They should take the results less seriously to the extent any results should matter. Practice just began for many kids, new players join teams, some kids are out for holiday weekend.


State Cup games start this Saturday. Should they not be taken seriously because your kid just started practicing, etc. ? Why do people make these sorry a** excuses?

And remember your kid should be on a team to develop and grow to be the best place to grow.
A winning team would surely be an added bonus of course.

I was surprised how some of the Clubs with strong reputations completely bombed in almost every single boys age group in multiple different tournaments this past weekend, many teams finishing at the bottom of their brackets. It could make for an interesting year.

I am not surprised at the result. McLean 07 girls usually beat Loudoun 07 ECNL team/previously Loudoun Red, but the scores are close. I would be more interested in seeing Loudoun ECNL play against FCV DA 07s.

Butthurt over a 2-1 squeaker result over GFR? I’d be ashamed if I were Loudoun; shows how much the gap has closed. Loudoun’s travel program is over double GFR’s in size. Pretty embarrassing.

This is exactly what is wrong with youth sports. This is guaranteed to be one of those parents that moves their kid around from club to club to club to DA to ECNL to ...

Put your kid on a team with a good coach, good reputable club and leave them alone, go watch and enjoy your kids youth as it will be gone in a hand full of years. And I'm sure you #1 ranked kid will either not be playing when she goes off to college or will most certainly not playing on scholarship.
