i guess it’s provably too soon to make this political and wonder what laws might prevent a shooting like this from happening.
Name?
It doesn't seem to have been released yet. Police have just identified him as . white man in his mid-30s.
Which is why I’d like a name
OK? Well try stomping your feet five times and see if it magically appears.

A slate of new Texas laws that loosen regulations for firearms went into effect Sunday after a month in which the state experienced multiple mass shootings.
The bills, which were passed during the 86th Texas legislature, ease restrictions surrounding access to guns on school grounds and churches, among other provisions.
House Bill 1143 says that the Texas Education Code will be updated to "prevent school districts from regulating the manner in which a licensed person's handgun, firearm, or ammunition is stored in their vehicle in a school parking area."
Meanwhile, Senate Bill 535 clarifies that licensed handgun owners will be permitted to carry firearms in places of worship.
"We have learned many times over that there is no such thing as a gun free zone. Those with evil intentions will violate the law and carry out their heinous acts no matter what," state Sen. Donna Campbell, co-sponsor of the bill, said in a statement about it CNN reported. "It makes no sense to disarm the good guys and leave law-abiding citizens defenseless where violent offenders break the law to do great harm."
Other legislation loosens restrictions on how many armed school marshals a school district can appoint. House Bill 2363 makes it legal for some foster homes to store firearms and ammunition in a secure place. CNN notes that House Bill 302 also bars homeowners or landlords from preventing tenants from possessing, carrying, transporting or storing a gun on their property.
The National Rifle Association has praised the legislation as "highly successful," local ABC affiliate KSAT 12 reported.
On Saturday, at least five people were killed after an alleged gunman opened fire in West Texas. Authorities said that at least 21 people were injured, including three law enforcement officers.
Just weeks earlier, a mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart left 21 people dead.

It's sad because I miss the days when I only worried about it happening at work (I'm a teacher). I went to Walmart and the movies today and found myself looking for the exits at both places because it's happened at both places. Strangely enough, I saw The Matrix re-release today. I remember when the media blamed Columbine on that and Marilyn Manson. Now it's video games.
Don't forget mental health.
As if other countries don't have mental health issues, angry males, video games, and extreme music.
Most other civilized countries don’t have half the neglected children (and elderly) that this country has. You ought to travel a bit and see how normal humans care for their young.
Child abuse and neglect can have devastating consequences. So next time you see it, it IS your business - or at least it should be.
Yes, pp. the two infants that were just shot a little while ago (one in the face) were abused. Abused by our society, the NRA, Wayne LaPierre, Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, Fox News, and the Republican party.

This is not normal, this is because of the guns, nothing to do with the 2nd amendment. I am so sick of this government! There needs to be immediate ban of all weapons and a confiscation of those already in possession.
