My DD7.5 went two houses down to play with a friend. When I finished up lunch, I quickly ran down there to get her, knocking on the door. There was quite a delay before the mom answered, and she said she was sorry, that she was just getting out of the shower. So the girls were left more or less unsupervised for that time while the mom was showering.
It’s rubbing me the wrong way and I don’t know why.
How often does your DD play at this person's house? Because I have a neighbor who sends her kid over all the time and doesn't reciprocate often and yes, I carry on with my life while the kid is in my house. She's watching your kid. If she needs a shower, she takes a shower. They're 7.5. They are completely fine. Do you constantly have eyes on your 7.5 year old and her friends while they're in your home because if you do, that's weird.
