Not on any sense of the term

It really doesn’t matter OP, DC isn’t going to get in anyway and will end up as a janitor like public school kids.

What a bizarre post. My DD chose Maret over GDS 2 years ago specifically because the kids at GDS were distracted and using their phones during classes on two different shadow days. Honest story....I haven’t a clue where PP is coming from, maybe the land of denial?

Maret, perhaps. Not the other 2.

Going to one of these snooty private schools will only exacerbate her sense of entitlement, and you will wake up one day with a 27 your old toddler living in your basement. Send her to public school where she will have to take responsibility for herself and not have people telling her how perfect, special, and better than everyone else she is. Guessing you won't though, because you will need to brag to your friends about where she goes to school to assuage your own sense of inadequacy.

Spoken like an ignoramus with huge class envy. Enjoy your poverty of spirit!

We've never had our school tell DS these things and we certainly don't?!

If dd is not motivated, scrap Sidwell.

I would consider Burke and Field. Both have SOME very highly motivated kids but both also have more laid back kids.

Not Maret-they don't have their own playing fields, and there's a lot of discontent from its surrounding neighborhoods because they were awarded a sweetheart deal for exclusive rights to use a DC public park for their sports without going through a competitive bidding process.
