I was negative at 12 positive at 15. Hang in there. Wishing you luck!

I'm so sorry, OP. I had a similar late implantation (negative at 12 DPO, positive but low beta) that ended in a blighted ovum at 6 weeks. It was heart breaking.

Thank you, PPs. I appreciate it. This week has been hard.

Closing the loop on this (I'm the OP). Like many on this board, I get frustrated when posts don't have an ending. My initial beta was positive, albeit low at 31. From there it quadrupled and continued to rise really nicely, to the point where I was cautiously optimistic that things might go ok. I had a first ultrasound at 5.5 weeks where a gestational sac was found, then again on Monday at 7 weeks. The sac had grown appropriately but was still empty. No yolk, fetal pole, etc. I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum and go tomorrow for a D&C. This will have been my 4th loss but first BO. It's heartbreaking.

I recommended she wait, but this is a shitty thing to say.

Ok - sorry new poster here and can someone explain why this is a shitty thing to say? Im asking because I’ve done 6 ivfs, still don’t have a baby (primary infertility) and my psychiatrist actually told me that patience is needed for ivf as well as motherhood. I can’t remember my reaction when she said this but I don’t remember feeling bad. Maybe I’m emotionally clueless?

But back to the original question- I would probably wait- I always wait even after my BFNs in my FRERs...

Because it’s not helpful in this situation, everyone knows IVF requires patience.

Well, context is everything, but I definitely think it's a shitty thing to say in response to OP's question.
