Be honest about your daughter being ill and sort of offer to pay 1/2 of the cost as a cancellation fee.

A dental office will often reschedule without charging a cancellation fee.

Totally cancel. I've found pediatric dentists to be the most understandable of our health care providers. Mine thanked me for cancelling when my 5 yo had hand-foot-and-mouth disease for the 3rd time.

A 102+ fever is significant and I doubt they'd want to do any procedures on her. If they charge you, switch dentists as they just don't understand!

For the health of your kid and others, please, please CANCEL. And divorce your husband.

Call and leave a message on their voicemail tonight. Tell them that you'll call tomorrow morning with an update on her fever. I'm sure they'll tell you to reschedule and won't charge you unless you have made it a habit to reschedule at the last minute many times before.

I doubt they will charge you.

Oral temp of 102.4? I think that's a great reason to leave a message on the dentist's line (if there is voicemail) or call first thing and let them know you think she shouldn't come, and ask for input. You don't have to listen to their input, of course, but it gives them a chance to agree with you and reschedule.

Do not take her to the dentist tomorrow.
