I don't agree that a mom with 4 kids can't date. If it's a priority she can. But I am laughing at the idea that your kids turn 12 and stop being so time consuming.

they were both in their 30s and the kind of people no one else would marry, so I guess it worked out for them. For the kids—meh, not so much.

....Now if there’s are multiple dads there are bigger issues. So if you can’t be supportive, be quiet.

What the heck makes you say that? The mom had two launched kids who must have been 18 plus. I’m guessing she was at least in her 40’s. And we have no information to determine his age.
