BRYC lost several coaches between this coming season and last season for these reasons. 2. Space. BRYC is simply feeling the crunch of not having the space to accommodate their teams. BRYC will have to either downsize in order to pay fewer coaches more and have fewer teams on their fields or get wiped out.

Field space is a huge issue I heard they will be cutting practice to two days a week soon. Zero chance they get DA unless they somehow build a soccerplex with 3 lighted turf fields. And I’m talking about fields they control not share with a high school.

Bryc will switch to DA after absorbing Metro United.

Why would they bother to do that?

They won't. As another response said, pretty sure BRYC is happy with ECNL.

Everyone always is until the day of the announcement.

It is late July. Yes initial rosters are done. Does this mean that there isn't room for another player? Of course not. But also remember, it is the end of July and the beginning of August. Teams will start their pre-season camps soon and it is simply possible that there really hasn't been much of a organized practice to invite your DD back to even participate .

If this is a continuing and growing issue then perhaps there is some smoke to the possibility of a Metro type merger?

My daughter played for Dan and loves him. He is open and accessible as well to the parents.

This would be good IMO. Reduce the dilution by 1 club and hopefully make a better team than the current MU out of the combined player pool.

Good person --- wants his players to be successful on and off the field.
Good (not great coach) --- needs to sweat the details more.
However, he's an adult not a child like some other coaches at the club.

I concur....

I have 3 kids at BRYC and do not think they are going to become a DA program. BRYC is very happy with the ECNL
