OP ask him! Then I would tell him she can call you if she needs something. Then I'd go right over there, tell her to stop contacting your husband. If she wants to chat or needs something she can ask you.

It’s possible that this is an app that the woman uses to communicate with her friends and family overseas, and asked OP’s DH to communicate with her that way, cheating or not. Maybe that’s the only way that she texts. If I were OP, though, I would be obsessively finding a way to access his account to see if he is hiding something.

My response is the same. I spent a number of years in Eastern Europe, and I am familiar with the cultural attitudes toward young women/older men AND I watched a number of expat marriages implode due to middle aged (or older) men having affairs with young women who threw themselves at them.

You have good reason to worry. I would never, ever have just let this go, and I'm not surprised it is progressing in this way.

Your DH's age means nothing in this situation.


Is it a cultural thing that young Eastern european women are into old men?

It’s encrypted end to end and carriers can’t access. It’s hard to even for feds to read.


My husband works for NASA and he’s required to use it.

You know nothing about dating and mating in other cultures. I do. I lived there for five years. OP has good reason to worry.

OMG, another dim one. If he uses the stock phone app for all his normal texts, but uses Signal just for her, something is very fishy.

Zero people I know use this. Zero. Unless I don't know about it because they are having an affair.
