The only Marys I know born in the last 50 years have come from VERY religious Catholic families--like the ones with 10+ kids who go to mass every morning, not just Sundays. If you name your daughter Mary people will assume you are an extremely conservative Catholic.

I love all of those names. I have a Sarah and an Emily, but if I were naming any more little girls, Elizabeth, Caroline, and Anne/Anna would be high on my list.

For old fashioned girl names, I'm also loving Juliet, Martha, Margaret, and Jane right now.

OP here, I went through those lists. But for Maryland, I don't understand why names like Genesis, Skylar, Nova, and straight Bella (not Isabella) are more popular than Caroline, when everyone is saying that Caroline is the most overused name ever.

I have learned that if you listen to DCUM, you will never get to name your kid your favorite name due to "popularity." There are a couple, or might be one, posters who scream "trending popularity" at every name. Caroline: tons of them. "E" name: they're all called "Ellie". Louisa: know 4 or 5 when there were about 10-15 in the whole state of VA.

People who read DCUM tend to name their kids (and send their kids to school with) Carolines not Novas. Self selecting pool here.

OP we have very similar tastes, this was basically our list. We ended up going with Louisa. Other ones we liked that were less popular are Georgia, Rosalind, Julianna. If we have another girl we'll probably go with frances as that's a family name. Btw dd's middle name is one of the ones you listed, after a her great grandmother.

Pick the name you like. There's data for these names, so you can kinda answer this question yourself (someone else posted the #s earlier)
But, my anecdata are: I know a baby Clara and a preschooler Mary (same family), a baby Catherine (sister to Caroline) and I think that's it off your list. I know a handful of other baby Carolines.

I love all the names! They were also on our list and we went with Caroline Frances.

I hate Frances
