I was 34 at my first IVF and 35 for my second IVF. I also did 2 IUI’s prior to that (at 34).

Fwiw, I finally did donor egg after four rounds and no normals.

I’m thrilled to have a daughter, and I wish we had done it sooner.

To be honest, you haven't done that many rounds ... I would suggest you stick with one clinic if you want to keep trying, I did 2 NCIVF rounds and 3 stim rounds to get to my pregnancy, and my AMH was much higher. I know it is disappointing to have an unsuccessful cycle, but it is also a numbers game. You also have to advocate for yourself. If you want to try a different protocol, voice that opinion.

they are. they've just been underwhelming


If you think CCRM is underwhelming, wait until you get to SG which is a human cattle factory. You might get 3 tries and then if not successful will be asked to seek a second opinion elsewhere which is a PC way of saying you are ruining our success rates. And as others pointed out, one failed cycle does not history make. It is a marathon.

I came from GW to CCRM since my insurance said GW was out of network, but CCRM wasn't. I was feeling very optimistic but they've had a range of mistakes they've made, mostly administrative, though one from the embryology department, and I had a disastrous round last month and the doctor isnt switching protocol.

I have pretty bad DOR (like, afc of 5, amh of 0.4), age 36.

I'm getting the feeling that there isn't really any perfect clinic; but perhaps others have experience here that indicate that shopping for another clinic is sometimes worthwhile anyway.


Similar stats, but then at age 37 had AFC of 4 and AMH of <01. I went with Dominion. I would not use SG for DOR.


What is DOR?


Diminished ovarian reserve I believe

Cornell in NY or stick with CCRM - either Nova or CO.

SGF is not for you.

And I would not waste time with any other local clinics. Your stats and results so far call for taking this seriously. Go to the best of the best while you are still “younger” by infertility standards.
