wow, still defending him? he's gone because he messed up so badly

Am I right or not? Because I know I am

Why would Hollywood elites hang out with Epstein? And Stefanopolis?

Same reason Trump hung out with him.

Was Trump there? Nope

No. Guess you haven't seen all those pictures. Pretty sure there are more.

Of course you do.

This can’t be good. Apparently Acosta is being replaced by Patrick Pizzella to become acting labor secretary. Pizzella is a former partner of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff. He’s seen by associates on Capitol Hill as a hard charging advocate for industry interests and someone who is more inclined than the cautious Acosta to rapidly reverse Obama-era policies that favored workers and unions. Get rid of one swamp creature and another slithers in.

"At least got him to register"? He was US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. His JOB was to prosecute. He deserves a pat on the back for upholding his oath? Sure--after an unethical private meeting with defense counsel, Acosta "at least" got him a 13-month sentence in a private local jail wing in which he left 6 days a week. A deal that was so laughably lenient and which was hidden from dozens of victims, found by a court earlier this year to be in violation of the law.

The county was not going to charge him at all. It was their job to as well

Absolutely. The Florida Bar (which is already busy investigating Matt Gaetz) needs to probe whether Acosta should keep his law license. It's plain he violated some ethics directives.

How much vetting did Trump do of this guy? It seemed plain to me he was an inappropriate choice. The Epstein plea was brought up during confirmation but if the Trump White House were competent, he would not have been nominated. To me this is mostly on the Trump staffers who should have scrutinized Acosta's past. Of course ultimately this falls on Trump. #ETTD.

It seems strange that he'd be chosen to head the Dept. of Labor. I get why Puzder was chosen: He pays people minimum wage at fast food restaurants. What credentials did Acosta have that qualified him? He enabled child prostitution?

Hopefully the press will hunt down and shame those responsible for this decision.
