It does not. This is all it says:

Pick-up Soccer (Street Soccer) – U5+
At the younger ages, the game can be the number one teacher for all players, giving them the opportunity to develop and improve, purely by playing because of a love of the game. Pick up soccer is the place for that to happen.

Pick up soccer is a staple in every soccer players routine around the globe, and something all players do, ‘just for fun’ on a daily basis. Pick up soccer gives players the freedom and opportunity to express themselves and to try new things without the risk and pressure that organize league play or games bring with them. The opportunity to initiate, develop and inspire soccer individuality, flair and creativity while replicating their favorite heroes: Messi, Ronaldo, Lloyd, Morgan, Solo, Rooney, Howard, etc.

As field space and volunteer commitment permit, we try to re-create as much of that environment within FPYC as possible, by providing a safe place for kids to get together just play the game – for fun! Pick-up Soccer sessions are held year-round - three times per week in the winter and summer, and once per week during the season. For more information, check the Training Calendar or send an Email.

Any more details? Is it open to outsiders?

Yes it’s is open to all.

DC Stoddert Soccer hosts drop-in soccer on a seasonal basis for both kids and adults. Adult players must be 18 years of age or older. DC Stoddert provides the fields, and players bring their A-game! Play as often as you want – or if you have to skip a session, no problem. Players should bring water to drink, a soccer ball, and wear shin guards and appropriate footwear. If possible, bring a dark shirt and a light shirt to wear as well. Drop-In is open to all players, and registration is NOT required. Bring your friends!

SUMMER 2019: “Double Drop-In” soccer will happen on Saturday mornings starting in July. Open to all & free to participate, Double Drop-In features fields for players on one side (players from grades 2-7) and fields for adults on the other side. Drop-In takes place on Saturdays from 11:15am to 12:30pm, taking place at Jelleff Rec Center (3265 S St NW, Washington, DC). Summer Drop-In dates: July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10, 17.

WEATHER NOTE: Jelleff is an artificial turf field, so Drop-In sessions will take place unless there is steady rain. If Drop-In is canceled for any reason, that will be noted on DC Stoddert Soccer’s website on the homepage in a grey bar along the top.

For children participating in drop-in programs, we ask that parents are reachable during the session.

I wish it was earlier or later in the day but whatever it’s free.

Does anybody know if children grades 8 - 12 can play? Are they considered adults?

Bump, and if not, do they mix 7 and 12 year olds on one field? Hard to see how that’s fun for the older kids.

It is pretty causal and the kids figure it out. I guess you have never played in pick soccer? There are no coaches telling you what to do or how to play.

Any pick-up scheduled for this afternoon or evening in NOVA? I see LMVSC is slated to have sessions around 6-8 pm near Ft. Belvoir at Island Creek Elementary. Anywhere else? Fairfax or Annandale?

Here's what I know of going on in the DMV this summer. Please add any information if you have it.

Arlington Drop-In Soccer - open to all players, all ages. Separate sessions for HS and K-8 players. http://www.arlingtonsoccer.com/programs/other-programs/drop-in-soccer

FPYC Pick-Up Soccer - used to be Friday nights and Sunday afternoons at Draper or Stafford, open to anyone, but I don't see anything scheduled on their website now. Anyone know if this is still going on? https://fpycsports.demosphere-secure.com/sports/soccer/training/training-calendar

Some random guy on twitter - saw this retweeted a few times last week. Open session of street soccer on a hardcourt in Alexandria. Not sure if it will be a regular thing or not. https://twitter.com/TeamCAA11/status/1144421040619216896?s=19

PG County - Wed nights at Walker Mill. https://www.pgyoungboys.com/futsal-open-run

Vienna Pick-up Soccer - open to VYS players only though. http://www.vys.org/house/pickup-soccer.

Anybody know of anything else?

FPYC has pick up every Sunday 4-6pm at Draper Drive Park through August 11th I believe.

This is correct. Please join us! Open to all! Will run past the 11th though.

Do you typically have 2008 Girls attend? I’m in Maryland so I don’t want to drive all of the way out there and not have girls at this age group play. Thank you!

Girls in general rarely attend and there were no 2008s there the last two weeks.

There are 08’s and 07’s girls who play in DC.
