Not unless it’s the neighbor kids, or some good family friends, because we know those parents are fine with it. Many are not...

At the park? Yes. At home? No. He does not care to clean before a playdate at home and if he takes the kids outside he wants them physically active enough to be exhausted.

You know, who knows if she works. But if he makes enough money and he doesn’t ever want to be alone with their children, then why should she add work on top of everything else? That sounds terrible.
You think if she was “at work” instead of “at a PTA meeting,” then he would suddenly be okay with being alone with the kids? Especially if he doesn’t think they need the money?

I know a lot of mother who will not do a playdate or do a carpool if a father is involved. They just do not trust men.

Yes, my DH and our son have play dates. Usually with another dad and his son.

Sometimes. Ds is 6 so not always a drop.off playdate. He will host one with a couple of the neighborhood kids as well as DS' best friend because they are all drop off playdates. Otherwise there are about 4 dads DH gets along with well and will have a playdate with them and hang out with the dad.

Yes. But not nearly as often. I don’t think he has ever initiated one. But of course it’s happened that I agreed to a play date for one kid and had to take another one to a birthday party at the same time, so he is hosting.

I have four kids and about once a month I let all of my kids invite a couple of friends + siblings, and I host big play dates with 10-15 kids. I only do this when I know DH won’t be there at all. He would HATE it.

OTOH, he does initiate a lot of family get togethers with our friends and their children.

Dad here. I was often the only parent around when kids came over. Even today, the teens hang at my house. My girls are 13 and 15.
