I think the Twitter account that said it’s a challenge now and the one that said bored children got it right.

Bored kids get up to stupid crap and “even better” if you can film it and get your 15 min of fame. White boys in my DH’s home town drop stuff off bridges although they have caused broken windshields and crashes. No one is suggesting keeping white teen boys from using the bridges.

Of marijuana
I think white who throw objects off overpasses and black boys who light of fireworks in metro cars should ALL be arrested and charged very seriously.

Although, in some ways, I prefer that they light off those roman candles as opposed to the popping firecrackers because at least you know it's not gunshots.
that’s like you saying you wish people smoking in metro smoked pipes instead

Actually pipe smoke does smell better, so ...

Why can’t metro police be allowed to do their jobs without lawsuits?

Law prevents WMATA from being sued for alleged excessive force

This DC mother who was injured during an arrest for fare evasion has hit a roadblock in her fight against MetroTransitPD.
Diamond Rust’s attorney said she cannot sue WMATA for alleged civil rights violations because metro is protected by law.

The WMATA Compact, which is the transit authority’s guiding document, has language that Rust’s attorney said gives the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority immunity from being sued even if one of its officers is found guilty of civil rights violations. The WMATA Compact reads the transit authority “shall not be liable for any torts occurring in the performance of a governmental function.”
That means if a citizen has their rights violated by a metro transit officer, WMATA can’t be sued.

Currently, an alleged victim can only sue individual officers with Metro Transit Police for civil rights violations instead of the agency they work for.

Her anti-police attitude is written all over the photo.
