Our coach already said there is no way he is doing Bethesda again for fear of player injury.

He wants to do this new tournament —its in VA on turf fields. Anybody know anything about it? Looks like McLean and Arlington fields might be used which would certainly be an upgrade...

Is that Nation's Capital Cup, Sat, Nov 16, 2019? I think it is a McLean tournament.

Isn't the whole point of adding a separate Bethesda tournament weekend for the younger kids to avoid having them play at Muldooons, the Polo Grounds, etc? I'd guess they'll be at the Soccerplex.

BSC’s website indicates that the tournament will be played at SoccerPlex.

I wonder if the bad experience with BSC using Muldoon is making various clubs registering for other tournaments.

Terrible fields aside, the way they managed the tournament was BAD all the way around. Even a new location isn't going to fix that issue....

The only Management issue they need to resolve is to stay away from Muldoons or anywhere else in Poolsville. Everything else will work out fine.

+1000. Their biggest management mistake was to use Muldoon. Looks like they learned and will be using SoccerPlex and will provide insurance.

Even a best managed organization will look horrible if they had to deal with the weather and the horrible field conditions at Muldoon.

In what way was the management bad? We’ve enjoyed the tournament aside from the fields.

Mclean seems to be hosting it so assume that many of their teams will be playing in it

You could raise and grade the fields with little problems. You would not have to raise it that much and it would not cost that much. This type of work is done all the time. The site is not a problem, plenary of grade and space. They just do not want to spend money on the u littles. If they invested money to make those fields decent, the u littles would never play on them. The money does not flow down to the u littles.
