I hired a great nanny. I was also nursing for a year and live/work in a small condo. We’ve made it all work seamlessly! You just have to hire a nanny who is open to a work-from-home parent.

I work from home and my kids go to full day preschool or daycare outside the home. In the fall my 5yr old will go to aftercare.

When they are sick, I taken PTO and work while they sleep if I can. My 5yr old sometimes likes to have down time alone, so I imagine when kinder starts in the fall there will days I pick him up early from aftercare and let him hang out while I work for an hour before we pick up his brother. He will play Legos alone for 1hr+ while I work. Both my kids are really good at playing alone or together without me - but that’s just luck and personality.
