Also, a large group of ADP kids move up to travel for the U11 year when the teams get bigger. The U10 ADP kids tend to make up most of the U11 silver/gold teams.

I think more ADP boys made it at U11 last year, this year they dropped gold for U11 and I believe a handful made silver, and none higher.

I'm sure that this is largely accurate, but I do know one kid (a friend of my travel playing DS) who made the U11 Black team from ADP this year.

Should consider PAC travel (Premier Athletic Club).

It’s worked out fine for him but he loves soccer and is one of the oldest in his age group. My younger one is probably one of the youngest that was trying out so at a distinct disadvantage with a late December birthday. Oh well.

Did you also get the “at this time” language? I’m just trying to figure out if that means we were placed on a waitlist. It says “additional offers may be made in the coming weeks.” Stock denial language or waitlist?

That’s what they said to everyone who didn’t get a spot.

Same with us November birthday. Luckily the kid doesn’t seem too upset. We’ll see once everyone is talking about it at school.

We just got our offer email last night, so "at this time" might mean you are waitlisted and could still get an offer. Some of the offers won't be accepted.

Kids do move from ADP to Travel. One team all but disbanded last year because so many girls got travel offers. On our 12-kid roster this year, we lost 3 kids to travel. (different clubs.) If your kid is any good at goalie, have him/her specialize in that, and it can help your chances for travel as they start to look for kids to fill specific positions. That's how one of our ADP girls made travel. She's not an especially outstanding player, but the pool of kids looking to play goal is limited.

On the boys side maybe 6 last year at U10? Less this year as U11 I think.

Untrue.

Dd’s adp team has had 3 defections to travel this season, one last season, and 2 the previous season.
