Such a ridiculous response. You must be a trump supporter.

Sure, I must be. Or, maybe, I’d think car wreck, heart attack, lost kid, etc. you know, the stuff that normal people think of.

You are not normal, OP, nor do you know how normal people think. Our children have mass shooter drills in their schools. CPR classes now include how to stop bleeding from gun shot wounds.

Normal people don’t tear up over cop cars going down the road.

Perhaps and a holes sneer at those who do.

That who’d. It have been my thought, but everyone is different. You don’t have to live that way. Get therapy to deal with irrational fears.

Vote for candidates who support tougher sentencing. MoCo judges live by the Nolle Prosequi mantra.

I was robbed a few years back and had to show up to court 4 time because the perp would FTA. He was facing a maximum of 18 years on 6 counts and walked away with 2 days (time served... over nights when warrants were served). Meanwhile my kid took about 6 months to feel comfortable in their own house.

We don't need more gun control laws. We need more gun owners. Criminals don't care about your gun control laws.

Like the mom of the Sandy Hook shooter, who was a polite middle aged white lady, like you and i?

Disagree. Putting people in jail crated career criminals and recidivism. Guns create murders. We need social solutions and punishments that fit the crimes and reform the people who can be helped ( I’m not talking about everyone).

Putting people in jail for violent crimes seems reasonable to me. And guns don't create murder and more than car dealerships and bars do.

+1. I’m not ashamed to say it’s my #1 issue. I don’t vote for candidates who are lukewarm on gun control.

Same.

Who is the “we” you’re referring to? Weepy, over-sensitive, liberal soccer moms? Most normal people don’t live this way.

Anonymous wrote:On Monday I was driving to pick up my five-year-old from school. When I drove down the street his school is on, two police cars, with sirens blazing, went flying past me. Then, I heard more sirens behind me.

My heart began racing and my throat tightened. My eyes filled with tears. My first thought was that there was a mass shooting at my son’s school.

Thank God, the police cars flew past my son’s school.

Why do we have to live like this?! Why would mowing down five-year-olds be my first thought?!

And before you tell me I need therapy or medication, you have to know that I am the calmest, most no hovering woman you ever met. I never worry. But a massshooting was still my first thought.

Vote, get involved in gun control activism, organize others to vote, fundraise. You live in a modern democracy, not in a gun kingdom.

Remember weaving through parking lots when the sniper was at large? I sure do. Chances of me getting shot were nil. But statistics don't enter into rational thinking when death is on the line! Gun control. Gun control. Gun control.

Not an overreaction. My DS is twelve and so far we have dealt with a rumor (thankfully false) of a gun threat, and when he was in preschool, he had to be evacuated due to a bomb threat (also thankfully unfounded).

I am sorry for your loss but there is no comparison. How many terrorist attacks have we had compared to mass shootings?
