I would be a p*ss poor teacher if I simply told my students “All I hear is excuses.” when they hit an obstacle. If this is how you reach, I get why you have time to eat lunch and exercise daily.

Many of the suggestion for losing weight don’t work well if you are teaching. For example, I was advised to drink at least four glasses of water before noon and eat seven micro meals instead of three. I’m sure these are effective for weight loss, but I can’t eat while I’m teaching and with my schedule, I usually can’t visit the bathroom before 1 PM. I’d never be able to hold my bladder that long if I drank that much water.
Every year, I drop at least 10 lbs in the summer, but using habits that aren’t sustainable during the school year. The craziness of September means missed lunches and too much exhaustion for dinner so that month might bring another 5 lb loss, but by October, the weight starts creeping back again.
I don’t expect everyone to get why certain weight loss techniques might not work for teachers and I’m sure there are teachers who made one of the Big 3 work for them. I’m interested in forming a group that is willing to give this a try. The nurses’ group was life changing for my friend.
I'm a teacher,I agree with the first part,not the second part. You can meal prep to help you through the week, you can work out at nights or in the morning. You can't really think teachers are the only ones who are exhausted at night? You have no excuse to miss lunches,plenty of teachers eat lunch.

Yes , this past year I had lunch at 1:00 which made IF easier. Next year we will have earlier lunch and so I’ll need to end my eating window much earlier which will be tough when I don’t get home until after 5:30 and then have activities some nights.

During the summer I am getting back to regular gym visits, plus daytime yoga classes I can’t do during the school year, and extra walking time.
I also stayed late this year doing lots of extra planning and prep so that hopefully I do less on school nights next year and can fit in more gym time—last year my goal was twice a week (plus weekend) but I usually only got once a week.
