Even the ones that look nice right now are going to blur over time. Some old tattoos look more like a skin condition than a picture.

My kids are 25 — no tattoos. Also no tattoos on professional immigrants they work with, so there’s the bracket. 20s to 43. Now going out of style?

I am a millennial and I don't like them on women. On men, hopefully I can't see them at work

Agree. Plus points for clever phrasing.

I’m 35 and would never get one. I don’t think they are all trashy, but many are.

I’m 32 and don’t have any tattoos. Neither do any of my friends or dh. I do think they’re trashy and lower class

I'm 33. I don't think they are trashy as a blanket statement. Some are, some aren't. That seems to be the general consensus of most of my friends. And sometimes it depends on the person. My friend's husband is rock/hipster type and all the tats work on him. Those same tats would look ridiculous on my preppy/dad attire husband

I’m a millennial (33) and don’t have one, feel I’m in the minority. I don’t think they’re trashy necessarily, but they can be.

I was born in '79 and don't have one. It was one of my mom's firm rules that has lasted into my adulthood: no tattoos, no smoking, no motorcycles.

I wouldn't say they are trashy. I work in the military and see a lot of tattoos on perfectly nice people; I also think indigenous people's traditional tattoos are really interesting. It's just not for me.

I’m 38 and know many people with tattoos, including my husband. We have a bunch of military/law enforcement friends with plenty of tattoos. Generally conservative crowd, very white. I also work for a super liberal, super casual nonprofit. Very diverse, very tattooed.

So no, I don’t think tattoos are trashy. I like them. A lot of different kinds of people like them, and liking them doesn’t make you trashy. But I think calling people who like them trashy is pretty damn trashy. Being judgmental over art is not a good look.
