I am the mom of a boy who recently graduated from one of these schools and had no idea about this tradition until I stumbled upon my son and other boys with their cigars right after the ceremony. He was given the cigar by one of his friends. He had no idea how to light it nor did he know how to smoke it. This was very reassuring to me as he likely has never vaped either. He looked silly trying to do it but eventually figured it out and posed for some photos with his buddies. No harm done and a fun memory of carrying on a tradition.
For those like PP who need to find the negative in anything and everything, maybe think about how miserable you sound when you complain about things that mean absolutely nothing. Sad.

It is totally douchey also they just look like little boys pretending. They don't know how to smoke cigars and they don't like to smoke them, they are pretending to be men. I am amazed that the parents seem to support and encourage it.

Because, in addition to the negative health aspect that they are all promoting, the girls are trying to look like cool boys, which is laughable.
Oh please, none of them are going to suddenly take up cigar smoking.
