You didn’t need to be a jerk. You knew what I meant and just enjoyed acting like one.


If you don't want criticism, don't ask for it.

If you can't accept criticism, you're going to be crushed and devastated when you attempt to publish and are turned down 48 times before someone picks up your book. Will you even be able to persist after the first rejection? Or will you just say "you don't need to be a jerk. You knew what I meant by this book and just enjoyed acting like a jerk."

I think the fluidity should lead to a sex change operation. Then, the husband of the protagonist, who was about to leave b/c he discovered his wife's affair, stays b/c he was closeted. Now he's an outed gay who can stay in his current relationship.

The two of them stay married, and the protagonist's girlfriend becomes their surrogate. Book two could be about some co-parenting, poly-amorous situation.

If you’re serious, read a few popular books in that genre. Story pace and character development seem to vary by genre.
