Practice the game we call coma. Mommy lays in the yard pretending to be unconscious, and needs lots of yellow flowers (dandy lions) pilled around her to wake her up.

My 6yo loves our big trampoline and a sprinkler/slip-n-slide combo that we just put out for the summer.

Garden Hose with spray attachment. My kids could play with that for hours.

This. We do have a swingset, balls, soccer goal, ride ons but mostly what our 5 year old plays with is the grass, sticks she finds, flowers (my mother showed her how to make a clover necklace), stuff she brings from inside, she just....plays. Nothing formal or fancy needed.

Ok, clover necklaces are cool, but my kids are outside playing for at least 6 hours on the weekend. Toys can be really helpful keeping them active and wearing them out.

My 3 and 6 year old girls were outside digging for worms for about an hour and a half yesterday, so if you have a plant bed that's empty, I suggest buying some kids gardening tools.
