It fascinates me that anyone suggests acting like a complete c*nt to a husband. Does that ever work out well for you?

My husband says yes it does. It's much better then holding it in and bitching on a forum and having resentment towards a spouse. See the issue is everyone wants to hold hands and sing kumbaya which gets nothing solved. Confront the issue and show them your upset. Hugging solves nothing and going to therapy over your spouse not cleaning up after himself. Serious people stop the shit and trying to be calm.

I appreciate it when my husband can look me in the face and tell me I'm acting like a bitch instead of him feeling like he cant really tell me how he feels or having to say it in a PC way in fear of upsetting me. My marriage is 100% better them most because were honest with each other because of our open and honest communication.

How old are your kids, OP? First, start by requiring each of them to clean up after each other. Put their plates in the dishwasher, throw away an empty box of cereal or return a full one to the cabinet, etc. Even if they aren't preparing the food yet, they can run for you.

Next, acknowledge to DH that he wasn't taught this as a child, but you really need his help to keep things together and teach the kids good habits. Institute family cleanup time. My kids get annoyed when they end up cleaning up after DH! (Dad left that out! Doesn't matter, we all clean up so please put it away.) DH has improved...
