ARL, Alex, etc all have 72 for the younger age groups. 6 teams x 12 players. Easy math. I know, 50 sounds mind blowing and incomprehensible compared to what ABGC is used to. Think big boys! Great things are happening!
Umm, exactly. For my daughters age group at ARL we had 245 tryout. So, yeah, 50 is only unbelievable if you’re ABGC.
245?? What age group?

No worries. Anyone with an IQ over 60 could go to their Intagram page(s) and see VIVA is in good shape going forward. Posted their coaches for next fall and definitively have VCF Spain on board.
Funny watching the desperate clubs waste their time keeping the 'imploding' thread alive. Must not have much else to do.
The most hilarious part about it to me is that the overwhelming majority of players have already decided on club. And yet the trolls still stick around bashing. I kinda feel bad for the trolls and their miserable existence!

Parents stay away from either club. I am sure there will be a series of legal battles in the horizon. Find another club, there are so many good clubs in the area like BRYC, LMVSC, Alexandria, Arlington, etc. Why risk loosing time, money, training, etc.Anonymous wrote:I am one of the team managers and I would like to pass along information that is currently available for us to provide to parents and players:
1, VIVA and ABGC are now two completely separate clubs/companies and operate independently. Please do not confuse an offer from one as an indication of an offer to play for the other.
2. VIVA has the full support of VIllarreal CF (La Liga - Spain) and their coaches will remain here full time as they have been doing for the last year.
3. VIVA is an official 501(C)3 Non-Profit organization.
4. VIVA has the membership rights to play in the Virginia NPL, NCSL and EDP.
5. New offer letters will start to go out this week at a reduced fee as we no longer have to pay a fee to the previous vendor. A benefit to our membership and the local community.
6. VIVA has permits from the county to play on turf in Annandale and Falls Church.
7. There will be a new registration link available this week on the VIVA website -- www.villarrealva.org
Regardless of whether you have received an offer or not, please make sure that you register your player, so we have your proper contact information and can keep you informed.
8. If you would still like the opportunity to tryout for the fall season, you can arrange to join in one of the regular practice sessions for your age group.
