I hope you mean you go to the ones you can uber to.

Nope. We drive our own cars! I know, it’s illegal to drive to and from a place that serves alcohol. But it’s a worth it.

It’s not against the law to drink. Or be outside. Or drink with kids.

IT is against the law to drink and drive which is the reason I don’t take kids to wineries.

No it’s the reason you never drink anywhere except your house.

We Uber or just split a bottle.

We drink at our neighborhood playground.

But you don’t HAVE to leave as soon as you finish a drink. Do you also not go to restaurants? There is alcohol there too. And cars. Gulp.

Single mom is incapable of just a glass of wine. Clearly for her having a drink is getting wasted. Hence the no driving so no going to wineries. Great. Better for the rest of us that she knows she should not go.

At a winery today with my kids (Quattro Goombas) - they have pizza as well as drinks. It’s a fun place to go for a picnic, hang out with friends. DH had beer and I didn’t drink anything. No laws broken, fun had by all.

You could bring along a friend.

Isn’t the point of going to a winery to drink? My friends aren’t going to go with me to be my designated driver.

When we bring our kid and dog, it is just to be outside and maybe have a glass of wine and a picnic. We usually order a case to bring home. Sometimes, there is music, activities. You don't have to drink and get snockered.

I am not comfortable drinking and driving especially with my child in the car.

Fantastic. Your choice. But if someone goes to a winery and has glass of wine over an hour or so, she is perfectly fine to drive. Your implied insults and judgment are pretty obvious and just plain wrong.

I agree.

I don't hate kids; I have four of my own, but I don't bring them to wineries. What burns me up is when I look on places like Yelp or Google reviews at winery reviews, and people rate them low just because the winery doesn't allow kids. Obnoxious entitled jerks complaining that they can't bring their spoiled brats everywhere.
