Look for good coaches. Ask around. Also, avoid traveling at this age. Bethesda's B team will play in ECNL II, which means that the team will compete against the B teams on the normal ECNL schedule. That team will travel to play games n MA, CT, PA, NY and NJ.

I mean it could happen, but the vibe I get from many BSC parents is that the club is more interested in bringing in new players (and money) from outside and uses promotion (or at least promises of promotion) to do so, instead of promoting from within.
Parents will tell you different across age and color--some see Green kids get promoted and others see top Blue kids passed over year and year again for 'new blood' to the club.
i agree with this. It would be better to be a star player coming from outside than trying to get promoted 2 levels from within. The later is never going to happen.
Honestly (this is the harsh reality), in my experience, if your kid isn't ECNL/DA material at U13 it's not going to be easy to ever make the jump from a 3rd tier team. I honestly haven't see it happen.
So a girl on BSC ‘s green team(what 3rd or 4th team) would be a star on Stoddert’s blue(top team)? Is there really that much of a talent drop off at Stoddert?
