{in thick accent} I played for the ______ Academy in my homeland of _________. I then played pro for _______. I suffered an injury which cut short my career...but, lucky for you, I moved to America and am here to provide your child with world class training.

And I will also offer your child individual ________ type of training for $600 per hour, but if you join my futsal academy for $750 I'll reduce that individual rate to $550 an hour. But, don't worry about the cost as I will help your kid get a college scholarship because I know a lot of those coaches.

I have heard the first pitch a few times; however, with both my boys playing travel and doing all sorts of supplemental training...NEVER and I mean NEVER have I heard a coach/trainer say that his training will help a kid get a scholarship nor do I know anyone who this has been said to. I think you blew it trying to be funny.
I agree, but only because I've never known a coach to be that concerned about a kid's future -- only about his own W/L record and how high he can move up/how much he can make as a professional youth soccer coach.
DD plays for local ECNL club. Her coach is a former college and pro player who has a regular job. He coaches because loves the game and probably likes being paid for his time.He and the rest of our staff care about the kids and their futures. It sounds like you guys are at the wrong clubs.

SYC will not allow parents on the sidelines, all games will be streamed.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The SYC and LMVSC "war" is over
SYC got most of the kids while LMVSC is barely has enough kids for white teams.
No swapping just a full exudes to SYC
The grass is not always greener on the other side and parents will continue to complain like they always do.

That’s why there are so many predators selling snake oil and getting away with it.
US youth soccer counts on the confusion. This is why just when parents start to get an idea or feel for something it immediately changes. It’s beem that way since the 70s, but much worse now due to the sheer volume of youth players.

Anonymous wrote:What is crazy is that all of this has been happening during tryout season. Soccer scene is ridiculous these days. Please add on....
SYC
LMVSC (these 2 basically swapped after internal feuds)
FCV (got sold to St James)
Villarreal having an internal issue with all accounts frozen; things up in the air
Loudoun boys out of DA switching to ECNL
Arlington boys not getting DA for 04s
Metro United---what is this and when did this come on the scene?
CCL and NCSL merger,
Then the general phasing out of all boys DA under U13.
