You know exactly what OP has against Soros. Doubt they’d be helping if the backer were a Koch.

Some Northern Virginia defense attorneys said they were wary of helping a challenger when the incumbents control their clients’ fates. Stamos has actively solicited the endorsement of lawyers who represent clients in Arlington, several said.
Kind of scary that a prosecutor would take it out on defendants if she doesn’t like their attorney or if they don’t endorse her.
It didn’t say she has a history of retaliation, just vague concerns about whether she might. People worry about this for all candidates for elected office, it’s not unique to Stamos.
So for 30 years Stamos hasn’t retaliated, now she will? Way to support someone’s well deserved reputation.

I just assume the type of people who will vote for Parisa because she is against aggressive prosecutions are the same people who are against segregation. That is, the kind of people who spend a fortune to live in wealthy parts of Arlington and send their kids to high-performing, majority-white schools, and fight against boundary changes that would let more poor kids in, but put signs on their lawns supporting candidates who say that they are "for diversity."
In 2019 they are against Theo and for Parisa but if some black kid mugs them or breaks into their car, I bet you a million of Soros' dollars that they are suddenly going to be on the side of the prosecution.

Outside money is outside money. I don’t care whose team it’s coming from, I don’t appreciate getting a mailer every other day paid for by a PAC that has nothing to do with Arlington.
Exactly. Arlington has been targeted because Soros’ PAC thinks it can get a candidate elected to further its national agenda. I want a prosecutor who cares about Arlington. Not to mention Parisa’s utter lack of experience, even as a defense attorney. She’s just a pawn.
Anonymous wrote:Here's what I want to know: How did the failing Washington Post decide that Parisi should be elected over a real prosecutor? What a joke. Soros must have bankrolled their losses this year while Bezos is running around with his floozy girlfriend, and throwing Parisi an endorsement must have been part of the deal.
Fake news. That's why nobody takes the Washington Post seriously.

So they are fearful of supporting another candidate and now one could infer if they don’t support her as she has activivly solicited the support their clients may not be treated fairly. Is this a fair prosecutor some who should control people’s fate?
Nonissue. A person who ran against Theo wrote a letter to the editor about how it had absolutely zero impact on their ability to work together.
Parisa's campaign has resorted to flinging whatever dirt they can get ahold of and trying to see what sticks
