Plus, a picture has date and time info embedded so there is proof of that if you doubt (I don't). Teacher most likely forgot about updating.
When did OP say the work had a grade and teacher comments on it already?
In the OP!!

The teacher has obviously forgotten.
Your son must write an email to remind him or her. Even better if he includes the photo.
My middle schooler has had to remind certain distracted teachers multiple times to correct grades, etc. Teachers have too many students and too much to do.

Assume something like this will happen again when the stakes are MUCH higher. Yeah. Taking a photo of an A assignment the teacher posted on the wall is a clear indication of some sort of addiction. Is it opiates? No, I think that’s when they join the math club. He’s probably addicted to the vaping.
DP. A few years back, a student sent me a photo of his work on our display wall. I sent back a photo of the wall that I took for our teacher evaluation portfolio the day after the work was due. His work was nowhere on the wall. He added it later after the Z caught his mom’s attention. The best part was that his photo showed that his work was taped with scotch tape from the front at the end of Pd 7 although he was in Pd 3 and I used blue painter’s tape for all the other work. Even the AP laughed at that.
