We moved to Barca last year, training is top notch, talent pool is a bit weak. But I crack up at all the dads (obviously have never played or been a fan) all the sudden stock up on Barca gear, you know they screwed up the order too because unlike the big sizes we are accustomed to in Football (NFL), soccer jerseys are very unforgiving for those that aren't trim. Yes, i'm evil and love to people watch.

Olimpiakos vs barcelona academy... all american kids who probably know diddly squat about the clubs lol. This is like the LA Lakers setting up shop in some other country and having LA Lakers Morocco Academy. Come on now people.

The only one I have found that is legit is Barca, say what you want, but the coaches are sent from Barca HQ or minimally certified by the TD, who is from Barca HQ. All the other ones are just partnership brands.
"Hey TD, come visit our club for $$$$. If you pay us XYZ, you can use our brand" Villareal, Juventus, etc.
Oh, I’m sure you did, Mr/Mrs Barca. Gotta protect the shield on this board.
I'm by no means Mr. Barca and none of my kids are with the club. If you don't like the truth, then there is no hope for you. It's the truth and whether you like the program or not, it really is a Barca curriculum. Not just a bunch of kids and coaches wearing euro swag. Coaches were sent here from the mothership and my neighbor even housed one for a few weeks when they first started. In the end, i'm a business minded person so these models intrigue me, the Juve program in MD has zero alignment in training, just name.
100% correct it is the true Barca curriculum. Hopefully, for the youth soccer market's sake, they actually become a little more selective at the older ages and they become a model for other clubs to follow. Right now they're focused on quantity not quality. That's ok at U7 and U8 but at some point you are just running a day care no matter what the curriculum is.

Seriously, I am actually a huge Wayne Rooney fan, but the fact that he is by far the best player on DCU demonstrates how inferior MLS is to the top leagues. That said, the play is improving and the crowds are growing. Someday ... it just might displace the most boring pro spectator sport ever ... baseball.
