17:20 How old are your kids? I need to entertain a 2, 3, and 6 year old tomorrow. Would it work? How much time did you spend there? Is it an all morning or an hour is enough kind of place?

I was a little weirded out by the statement that the staff might prompt you to change your baby's diaper. I don't like stinky places either, but it seems like a strange assumption that it would be a problem.

PP was it super crowded or doable?

We went today and it was fun. As for the posts re: religion- I did notice that the music playing on the ipod stereo at the front desk was of the "Christian rock" variety. But I probably only noticed it because I had read this thread first.

I agree-this place is amazing and it's only 5 dollars. My favorite part was definitely the pet room.

I agree- the place has SO much more to do than Musikids, or Gymboree. It is pretty amazing. There is a TON of activities to do with your child. Worth way more money than the other open gyms.

As for older kids, there is a craft room with every kind of art supply you can imagine- so an older child might like that. Otherwise I think it caters most to the preschool crowd. The biggest hit for us was the grocery store room.

but no one has seemed to mention that the fee is only 5 dollars!!!!!!!!!! i mean where do you go with your kid, all day for only 10 bucks

No charge for adults at Gymboree or Interactions Play and Learn.

If you don't want to be charged, go to a public playground or the mall. Places like this have to make enough money to stay in business, so I have no problem with them charging adults. (oh, and if you want a place that charges only kids, try an open gym at a gymnastics gym - the ones I've been to only charge for the kids)

I haven't been there but my nanny just took my son. She said that adults are charged admission. I think that's crazy. Adults are not playing, if our paying children are there, we have to be there. They should change this. It's a turnoff.

Could anyone who has been there comment on whether it would be fun for a seven-year-old, or is it mainly for younger children? Trying to find something for all our kids to do together this Friday!

Drove past the other day and noticed the sign. Then I saw this post which told me what it was all about. Just went to the website. Looks very interesting and my kids would probably really enjoy themselves there... but the main time I could take my kids would be during Christmas break... when they are closed. Oh well.

I was put off less by the vague god-stuff and more by the misspellings. I guess it's a mom-and-pop, I mean mom-and-mom venture. I'm most curious about the sponsorship. I don't dig my kid being "marketed to" in his/her playground. Are Safeway icons all over the grocery store play area?

Also noticed all the SAHM references in the professional bios. Hah.

Still, strangeness aside, the proof is in the pudding. If the play area is fun (and non-evangelistic, be it Christian or Safeway evangelism) then we'll be visiting often!
