Color does not exist in the vacuum. Depending on your floor color, on your light coming from the windows, the side of the direction they windows are facing, it all makes difference. Also what color is your furniture. Every element affects the color and work with or against each other.
You need to consider the mood you want to achieve. Then see what you have that can not be changed - floor, furniture, light and from there decide on color. What works best with what you have. One room will work fantastic with blue, while another will work horrible with the same blue.

Gray Screen - Sherwin Williams 7071

The color sample online looks gray but it is a very soft light blue but not a baby blue color. We have it in 3 bedrooms with wood floors and white trim. One room has dark furniture and white bedding. My sons room has dark furniture and navy, white and red bedding. And the other bedroom has white furniture and multicolor printed bedding.

Yep ... Here is SW Slick Blue

We painted it years ago. They still love it at 8 & 11yo.

We painted the boys' room SW Slick Blue (doesn't exist anymore). It's a medium to light true blue with the barest bit of green. It's a small room and their furniture is all natural wood and black with one dark navy chest. Bedding is gray & white and white, navy, & orange. If the room were larger I'd avoid a saturated color on the walls.

Its paint.. let them get what they want. Its cheap to repaint. My son has a mural, wallpaper and bold painted walls. Love it. Have fun with it. They are kids.

Ha! Same for us, and our son had picked pretty much exactly the same color as yours! We just put our house for sale, though, and our realtor was like, um, you need to paint this a neutral

One of my boys' rooms is Accessible Beige because it matched his comforter and looks good with the carpet color. It has gray undertones so it's more taupe than tan. The other's room (a nursery) is SW Knitting Needles which goes well with his white crib/furniture and light blue accents. I tried a bunch of grays/greiges/taupes before deciding. When they grow out of their current decor I'll let them pick a color (within reason).

Our DS wanted a similar color. We were able to talk him into a toned down version: BM Old Blue Jeans. He likes it.

SW Sea Salt is pretty as is Sea glass. Also there are a few gray's that read blue or sometimes green depending on the light.

We have used BM Serenata and Solitide, both blues that I think will age gracefully. Currently coordinated well with Star Wars or superheroes, but aren’t babyish.

I did neon green and black chalkboard paint when my boys were little. And black magnetic paint on one part of the wall too.

Everything else was white and looked great.

You're probably looking for actual names of paint colors, so sorry, don't know that, but I would go for a blue with lots of gray in it so that it doesn't look too babyish as they grow up.
