My son’s eczema flares during summer when allergies flare. If you can’t control it then I’d see a Derm. This year, the normal steroid prescription didn’t do a thing so we figured this out...
What works for us:
- lukewarm bath or shower each evening
- immediately after bathing — within 2 minutes while skin is slightly damp — apply Vanicream (from the big white/blue tub) and cover that with Vaseline-brand petroleum jelly
- sleep in long-sleeves
Mornings:
- take chewable Claritin
- apply Vanicream + Vaseline
Throughout day, use a damp cool cloth anytime been out playing in grass or park to help remove allergens. Reapply creams if needed.
