Neimans
Saks
Bloomingdales
Nordstrom
L&T
Macy’s
JC Penny
Sears
Khols

Ugh, this store is a nightmare! Completely overrun by tourists. It has absolutely no cache at all anymore.

We've gone there just to see the old wooden escalators, but usually don't actually "shop" there.

Agree for the most part, except I would put Kohls above Sears.

this is the correct list.

+1 for the most part. Except Sears does have an automotive department, which none of the others does.

Bc ppl shopping there aren’t trying to make constant returns.

Saks clientele aren’t sketchy.

and Nordstrom’s clientele are? Nordstrom stores have one of the best return policies there is.

I have absolutely sen sketchy people trying to insist on returning almost anything at Nordstrom.

The sales people write a code on things at Nordstrom (like on the bottom of a shoe) and when you return it they look for the code.

What kind of code? Like if someone looks sketchy and the sales person thinks they will return the item, they write a code? And even then, so what? Does the sales person processing the return look at the code and say "Oh yeah. I see by this 3573 code written on the bottom of this shoe that my co
worker Jane just KNEW you'd be returning it! BUSTED!!!!"

And I've never seen a sales person WRITE on an item purchased! There's no way I would complete the purchase if a sales person wrote on the item!

Nordstrom and Bloomingdales are equal
Neimans and Saks equal
Bergdorfs is the top

Nordstrom (at least the one in Tysons) is way above Lord and Taylor. I would also rank them above Bloomingdales but again only comparing the two for Tyson’s and for what I buy (women’s shoes, some clothing, kids clothing shoes, some men’s clothing).

Sears
JC Penny
Kohl’s
Macy’s
Nordstrom
Lord & Taylor
Bloomingdales

I know there are regionals like Dillard’s or Belk but I think generally those are like Kohl’s?

Dillard’s , belk and regionals are on par with Macy’s
Nordstrom and L and T are about equal
Above Bloomingdales you have Saks and NM

Nordstrom is way above Mavys and L & T.

Plus 1

Yes, it is a good return policy however, if you abuse it they kick you out. Hence why they can have an awesome store policy.

Lots of young people are interested in shopping at locally-owned small shops, just not the big national chains as much.
