I hear that the GLS is going to be majorly revamped so if you need that size of the car that can make sense. It seems that the GLS is larger than the X7 or maybe it is just me. I did not check specs because I did not consider it seriously but at a glance the interior seemed somewhat larger on GLS in the showroom. On the outside the GLS seems bigger too. Maybe because the X7 looks like beefed up smaller X ones, while GLS does not keep the integrity of the GLE but has it's own form, bumped up back and more squared off then the GLE model.

I think that the X5 2020 model will be much nicer then GLE 2020. They also had a lot of time to iron out any glitches because they introduced the new gen electronic dash on the 2019 model in X5 so the next gen will be only better and more reliable. Just saying.
Generally, I’m not a fan of BMW, and their suvs seem small to me. I’ve been underwhelmed with the x7s I’ve seen.
