Please know that sometimes people with “invisible” needs or disabilities use these bathrooms. I know one middle age man that sometimes uses them when he needs to take injections and another woman that sometimes needs extra space due to needs related to Crohns. Public bathrooms are not exactly known for their cleanliness. Do I want to use a bathroom people have been having sex in no. Do I have time to report suspected sex in a bathroom while at the mall with my kids- no.

I have given up ever, ever trying to use Family Bathrooms.

I have a young child with a physical disability who uses equipment to walk (walker) and needs my help in the bathroom.

It is impossible to try to use a Family Bathroom. They are either inhabited by homeless people, teens having parties or having sex, or simply people who want privacy. I think we have used them twice.

Mall police will not care, OP. They are not going to police the bathrooms for you.
