$50-100 for friends and family. No more than $50 for coworkers- usually I get them baby overalls and a book.

$50-100 for a family member or friend. I like to throw $25ish toward a bigger group gift for coworkers.

My family members or very close friends: prob around $100 but I have a small family and only a few very close friends
Other friends who I’m not as close w: around $30-50
Co workers: $20-30 if I know the co-worker well, less if it’s a thing where the whole office is invited and I don’t really know the person

$20 for coworkers
$50-100 for friends and cousins
More for siblings, depending on what they need. My sister and I went in 50-50 on a stroller for our brother’s baby, for example.

Reviving old thread as I’m curious if these norms have changed in the last 5 years. Trying to figure out what’s appropriate amount for a shower of a casual/not-close neighborhood friend.

+1
For coworkers, we do a collective gift and I'll give $10-20

$50 usually. $10-20 if it's a group gift at work. $100 for a close friend.
