Well this would be good for BSC as a club. They still have to do something about management on the girls side. It’s been a drift for a few years now. Have they picked a new executive director or what ever they call it? I think it will be hard for some of the BSC players if Rush girls come over or the two programs merge. In some age groups you could see over 1/2 the top team replace. In the 08’s maybe a lot more and that is not even considering girls outside those two clubs who may come in. The u12 is a big movement year and BSC is playing pre ecnl. That and new coaches could attract a lot of new players.

Distinction is that a coach currently employed by a club should not be actively recruiting his current players to leave the club and join him elsewhere next year. Coach has to be fired in that situation.

In between seasons (i.e. the summer and the spring tryouts leading up to that) is open season for all to freely move between clubs. There is no recruiting restriction during that time. Free market economy - as it should be. If the coach is good, the players will (and should) follow. It is up to the clubs to make a compelling reason for coaches and players to stay there. Restricting this movement otherwise goes against the spirit of open competition.

During the season (fall to spring) the restrictions are legitimate and fair to prevent recruiting for player movement during a season, not in between seasons.

I don't know about Rush culture but the team coached by Kevin/Alex are well developed. They have a few stand out athletes but that team can play and to their credit, Kevin/Alex won before Rush. I believe some of their former non-Rush players are on the current U-23 team.

He had decided to move to bethesda prior though, correct? The teams decided to let him go now instead of finishing out the season with his teams.

i think most are there because their is a winning environment and success. from what I've observed, development is kicked to the curb in favor of big strong athletes who can churn out Ws

Layton was dropped from Rush? That is insane. I can't believe that his players will not join him. They are not at Rush because of Rush. They are there because of Kevin and Alex.
