This has been my younger DD too. It was such a pain when she was young enough to need parental help in the bathroom; always when the plates arrived. As it happens, we've learned that her anxiety can be heightened in a restaurant - a bit overwhelmed by the smells and noise. She now goes to the bathroom immediately after we're seated at the table, so that she can enjoy the rest of her meal, and also knows the escape route to the bathroom if she gets overwhelmed during the meal (which is now rare).

In other words, your dd might be quirky, but it’s not really abnormal or unusual.
