I freeze stuff if I buy it and happen to have too much leftover but unless you live an hour from Costco and can rarely go, simply running over and buying the baguette fresh is going to be better than pulling an old frozen one out. I am also one of those people who absolutely notices a difference between fresh and frozen/thawed so YMMV.

I just thought about salsa-has anyone tried freezing salsa? I always wanted to buy the mango salsa but it's too big for our family.
I’m the avocado pp. I have not have any of my avocados turn brown before freezing them. They will turn after thawing, like a fresh avocado, if you let it sit.
